Privacy Policy
This page explains what we collect when you visit the site, why, and how you can control it. It's written in plain language, not legalese.

The short version
We don't ask you to sign up, and we don't collect your name or phone number. We count visits anonymously, and what you save is kept in your own browser, not with us. The only data that reaches us with your name on it is what you type yourself into the contact form or the comments.
1. Visit statistics
We record how many times each page is opened so we know which content is useful to people. With each visit we store: the page, the time of the visit, the device type, the language, and where the visit came from (a search engine or social media).
We don't store your IP address. We combine it with your browser details into a one-way encrypted fingerprint that changes every day — which means we can't trace it back to you, and we can't track you from one day to the next.
2. What is stored in your browser
These are stored on your own device and never reach us:
- The recipes you save and your shopping list.
- Light or dark mode, and the language you chose.
- The recipes you opened most recently.
You can delete all of this at any time in your browser settings (clear site data) or with the clear button on the saved recipes page.
3. What you type yourself
- Comments — The name you enter and the text of your comment are stored and appear on the page after review. Don't include personal details in your comment.
- Ratings — Completely anonymous: a number from 1 to 5, with no other data.
- Contact form — Your name, email and message, which we use only to reply to you.
- Newsletter — Your email only, and only to send you new recipes. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
4. Cookies and advertising
The site itself doesn't use tracking cookies. It shows ads from Google AdSense, and Google and its partners use cookies to show you relevant ads based on your visits to this site and other websites.
Google uses the DART cookie to show ads based on your visits to this site and other websites. You can opt out of this completely in Google Ads settings or at aboutads.info.
Third-party advertisers have their own privacy policies; we have no control over them and no access to the data they collect.
5. External links
The site links to other websites (photo sources, restaurant websites). We're responsible only for the content of our own site; once you leave for another site, its own policy applies.
6. Children
The site is not aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them. If we find out that a child has sent us data, we delete it.
7. Your rights
You can ask at any time for a copy of the data we hold about you, for it to be corrected or deleted, or for your newsletter subscription to be cancelled. Write to us via the contact page and we'll reply within 30 days.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change anything in this policy, we'll update the last-updated date at the top. We'll announce any significant changes on the home page.
