Universal and Fresh are both Egyptian brands that manufacture their cookers in Egypt, but each is a separate company. Universal belongs to the Universal Group for Home Appliances, and exports part of its production abroad. Fresh (Fresh Electric) was established in 1987, with factories in 10th of Ramadan City, and makes cookers, refrigerators, washing machines, and water heaters. This means there is no «imported vs. local» difference here, and the real difference lies in the models, the written warranty, and the number of reviews. The models of both brands are also available in large appliance stores, so if you can view the model in person and touch the pan supports and knobs before ordering online, do so.

Warranty and Service

Fresh pages on Amazon Egypt list a 5-year warranty and the hotline number 19059. The Universal pages we found are unclear about the warranty period, so ask the seller before ordering, and request the warranty card with the invoice. In both cases, the important warranty is the company's warranty in Egypt, not the seller's warranty, and you will mostly need an invoice with the purchase date, so don't throw it away. So if your kitchen is small and you need 60x60 cm with 4 burners, Fresh will give you more choices. If you have space for 90 cm, both have models in a similar price category. Features That Really Make a Difference

What to Watch Out for on the Pages

The sales page data for both brands is confusing: different weights for the same model, non-matching model numbers, and dimensions on the Universal Grand Rosa page that don't make sense for an 80 cm cooker. Therefore, measure your space yourself, ask the seller for the full model number, and match it on the box upon receipt. The number of reviews on Universal's pages is small, and Grand Rosa's rating is weak so far, making it hard to judge quality from them, while Fresh's reviews are more numerous but average in the 80 and 90 cm models.

How to Choose?

If what matters most to you is a spacious fan oven for the least money in the 90 cm size, the Universal Stand is a logical choice. If you want a written warranty, a hotline, and a wider range of sizes, Fresh is more convenient. In both cases: ask about full safety, verify the gas type (natural or cylinder) and nozzles, and open the box in front of the delivery agent. Count the shelves, trays, and skewer, and look closely at the body and glass, because damage not recorded upon receipt is hard to compensate for later.
